Greenhouse: NYC's Eco-Friendly Nightclub
Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 2:29PM During our visit to New York for OrganicNation.tv's East Coast tour we got a chance to visit Greenhouse, NYC's first eco-friendly nightclub. The bi-level, 6,000 square-foot space is the first nightclub in New York with LEED certification, the official stamp of approval from the US Green Building Council. That means that everything from building materials to garbage disposal, as well as energy and water use, has to be regulated and reduced.
I sat down with Greenhouse owner Barry Mullineaux to talk about the club's green features, including bamboo walls, LED lighting, low flow toilets and eco-friendly 360 Vodka.
Special thanks to the staff at Greenhouse for all their help!

Great video! Nice to see Organic Nation covering fun eco-friendly topics. I will definitely check out greenhouse during my next trip to NYC. Dorothee, did you get a change to party at this club? Looks like fun! :)
Thanks for checking out the video! Unfortunately we left before the real party got started - no cameras allowed :) but I did get to sample some 360 Vodka, which was fun!
