The East Coast is far in the rear-view mirror, but we're on the road again. After spending about 24 hours in Chicago, we set out again -- this time with Saint Louis as our destination. We've come to St. Louis to attend the annual Farm Aid benefit concert, which will be held this afternoon and evening. We decided to drive down to St. Louis a day early to check out the Homegrown Urban Country Fair in Tower Grove Park.
At the fair, we bought some food (and excellent tea from Traveling Tea) at the farmers market, met a bunch of the exhibitors, and introduced ourselves to Homegrown.org shepherdess Cornelia Hoskin, who was busy shooting a video of her own yesterday. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the beautiful Tower Grove Park and the nearby botanical gardens.
Today, we'll spend most of the day at the concert venue, which is located in the outskirts of St Louis, in Maryland Heights, MO. For more photos of the Homegrown Urban Country Fair, head over to our Flickr page.
