New Video: Dorothee Tries Wheatgrass Juice

While visiting Chicago's Green City Market earlier this summer, Mark and I came across a wheatgrass stand. The nutritious juice made from sprouts of the common wheat plant is packed with vitamins and minerals and is even thought to have unique curative properties. Personally, I find that it tastes almost unbearably sweet but I do notice a boost in energy and a feeling of well-being following a shot.

If you get a chance, I definitely recommend checking out Green City Market, Chicago’s only year-round farmers’ market promoting local, sustainable farmers, producers and chefs by connecting them to the public through educational programming and special events. Last time we were there, we got to see a cooking demo with chef Bruce Sherman.

You can follow Green City Market on Twitter @GreenCityMarket.
