Photos: Thorpe's Organic Family Farm in East Aurora, NY

On Friday we paid a visit to Thorpe's Organic Family Farm, a CSA in East Aurora, NY (about 20 miles southeast of Buffalo). Like most CSAs, Thorpe's farm produces a wide variety of vegetables and animals, and they also provide members with fresh citrus that they get from a sister farm in Florida.

After showing us around the farm and greenhouse, Gail Thorpe (pictured below, at left), the owner of the farm, invited Dorothee to help plant some tomato plants, using a planting device that's attached to the back of a tractor (pictured above).
