Picking Spinach at Nash's Organic Produce in Sequim, WA

The most recent stop we made on our trip through the Pacific Northwest was at Nash's Organic Produce in Sequim, WA. Nash's is one of the oldest and most established organic farms on the Olympic Peninsula, and we went there with Dr. John Navazio from the Organic Seed Alliance to have a look at Nash's spinach.
According to Dr. Navazio, who is a spinach expert, Sequim gets much less rain than the rest of the Olympic Peninsula, and as a result, it's among the best places in the world for spinach and cauliflower seed production. Until about a generation ago, Sequim was filled with small family farms, but because of the mild climate, it's become a popular destination for retirees, making Nash's one of the few remaining farms in the area.
Nash Huber, the owner of the farm, is committed to preserving farmland from development, and he has received multiple grants to help grow is nearly 400-acre farm and keep it running. We only looked at the spinach yesterday with Dr. Navazio, but what we saw was pretty impressive, and I left with an armful of hearty spinach leaves.
