San Francisco's Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

My flight touched down in San José a couple of hours ago, and I'm already thinking about what to feast on while we're in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, it looks like I just missed the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, a market that's regarded by many to be one of the best in the country.
In fact, travel writer M.E. Malone wrote a story for the Boston Globe today, warning that the market might inspire outsiders to sneak heirloom tomatoes in their carry-on luggage.
The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is run by the Center for Urban Education About Sustainable Agriculture, or CUESA, and many of the 90 or so vendors are organic, but not all. According to the CUESA website, there are about the market receives 10,000 to 15,000 visitors each saturday. Markets are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so hopefully we'll have a chance to check it out this weekend.
