Update from the Road: San Francisco
Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 2:44PM Hey everyone! I thought I'd start posting some quick summaries of our experiences at each stop on the KickOff Tour since not all of you are following our real-time updates on Twitter.
Our first stop after the NetSquared Conference was San Francisco where we got to visit lots of great organic food locations and meet with friendly folks like Jaymi Heimbuch from Treehugger.com. We enjoyed samples of Scharffen Berger chocolate at the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market and checked out some cool street art in the Mission District:

Mark scored some delicious organic peaches at Valencia Whole Foods:

We had a wonderful meal at The Plant and visited Rachel Weidinger's booth in the Homegrown Village at MakerFaire where she taught us how to preserve fresh lemons (you can tell we're both really psyched about that):

We covered a lot of ground in San Francisco, and the great things we saw there made me want to come back and delve deeper into the sustainable food scene in the Bay Area. Until then, we're heading north!
