Video: 'WWOOF! The Movie' Trailer
Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 9:52AM I discovered this trailer at Cooking Up a Story, where filmmaker Ashley Terry has been posting some clips as the film reaches the post production stages. Terry and his wife Rachel have been globetrotting for the past five months, visiting organic farms in France, Japan, Italy and India that participate with the World-Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) organization.
As Terry explains in a blog post, Rachel's father gave them $15,000 to spend on the wedding, so the newlyweds did everything themselves, saving the leftover cash ($12,000) to spend on a camera, plane tickets and production expenses to make the film. Now that they're back in Oregon, Terry is busy applying for grants and editing the 40+ hours of footage they captured around the world. The film should be completed in June 2010.
